Awesome video series coach. I’m a young coach in upstate New York, currently coaching youth and modified. We run the Wing T and this stuff helps a lot for sure!
That’s great to hear, Coach! Thanks so much for watching and best of luck this season!
Great information Coach! Can you elaborate a little bit on what the “Frames” for the O line look like? For skill position players this sounds like what I would call “backfield action” I’m not as clear on how it looks for the linemen.
Thanks again!
Sure Coach! Frames for the O Line are like a 7 minute run through of as many of our schemes as possible.
So if we have the 1s on the goal line, the 2s are on the 5, the 3s are on the 10, and so on until you run out of linemen. Then the OL Coach calls out the first scheme. Quickly walks down the line and recites the rules. Then all the lines run the play on air, on the Coaches cadence. Reset the feet and go on to next play. OL coach coaches up any mistakes or coaching points/reminders. As many of our schemes as possible in 7 minutes.
Got it! Thanks again!
